# SwansonX > I build small businesses the software they'd otherwise rent, and I look after > it once it's theirs. Fixed price agreed in writing before anything starts, the > client owns the code and the data, and there's no contract. One person: Sean > Swanson, in Brainerd, Minnesota, working remotely for clients anywhere in the US. ## What this business is SwansonX LLC is a one-person software studio. The main product is custom business software that replaces subscriptions a small business is already paying for and working around — lead tracking, quoting, scheduling, booking, customer and job records. Websites and landing pages are still sold and are no longer the headline. The offer is a ladder, not a package. One module from $950, two or three from $1,950, everything connected as "Back Office" from $2,995, anything larger quoted in writing. Each step is a decision the client makes once the previous one has proved itself; stopping at the first step is a normal outcome. Prices come from one config file and appear on the pages rather than behind a discovery call. Before any of that there is a free subscription audit: send the monthly software list, get back a written list of what each tool does, what's worth replacing, and the one thing worth building first with a fixed number on it. It sometimes ends with "keep what you have," which is said plainly on the page. ## What is true, and what is not This matters more than the marketing, so it is stated directly: - **The software shown is Sean's own.** An SEO analyzer with branded PDF reports, a desktop file organizer, a brand-asset generator, a Discord bot, a plugin storefront — all built to run his own businesses and products, and shown as proof of capability. None of it is described as client work. - **There are no savings figures.** No business has cancelled subscriptions because of a SwansonX build, so there is no average and no typical result. The site explains how payback is calculated using a block labeled "Example" with obviously hypothetical numbers, and names no threshold. - **Three client websites:** Be Bold Balloons, Grace and Grounding Cleaning, and ZedePool Comics. One testimonial, from Kelly M. of Be Bold Balloons, about a website. - **Six concept builds** — HydroPeak, Nocturne, Solène Estate, Northwater Lodge, Halcyon Yoga, Ridge North Roofing — are labeled "Concept build" everywhere they appear. Nobody commissioned them and the businesses in them are invented. - **The Back Office demo** at /back-office/demo runs on sample data for a made-up business called Northline Home Services. It says so on every view. ## Ownership, which is the actual differentiator In the client's name from day one: their domain, their Stripe account and bank details, their Google Business Profile. The source code lives in a private repo under the SwansonX-Dev account and is available to the client on request at any time. The database and hosting sit in SwansonX accounts while the client is on a monthly plan and move to them on request or on cancellation; every client gets a separate database project. No client password is ever held — access is delegated. ## What SwansonX does not do Ads and ad management. Video production. Texting, SMS, phone systems, AI receptionists, missed-call text-back. Accounting, payroll or payment processing — custom tools work alongside those, never replacing them. Ongoing SEO campaigns. Builds where the honest answer is "keep what you have." ## Prices - Subscription audit: free - Custom software: one module $950 · two or three $1,950 · Back Office from $2,995 · larger quoted - Custom website: from $1,495, half up front and half on launch, 30 days of free tweaks - Landing page: from $1,195, one year of hosting, no monthly plan required - Free homepage: $0, five businesses at a time - Partner Plan: $300/month — the support the cancelled subscriptions used to include - Site Care: $49/month for website-only clients - No contract on any monthly plan.
