One page that has to do the whole job. It is the brief a consultant, a photographer or a tradesperson brings me more often than any other, so I built mine the way I would build theirs.
The brief
One page, one path. Everything a visitor needs in order to decide, in the order they need it, ending in a way to get in touch.
No navigation to get lost in. A single page that answers the questions in order beats five pages that make someone hunt.
What it does
- Its own domain, so nothing about it is borrowed from a platform that could change the terms later.
- Instant on a phone. The whole page weighs less than one stock photo does on most sites. That is the only speed work that reliably survives contact with reality.
- It carries the long write-ups for everything in this portfolio, which is where the pieces on this page came from.
