The problem

The desktop and the downloads folder are the two places every file goes to die. Everyone knows they should be sorted, nobody sorts them, and the reason is that any manual system requires a decision per file at exactly the moment you are busy with something else.

What it does

Files sort themselves into recency tiers, so what you touched today is one click away and what you have not opened in a year is out of sight but not gone. Junk filenames get cleaned. Names-only search returns instantly and takes filters for extension, size, age and folder.

A review pass finds duplicates, empty files, old installers and stacked versions of the same download, and a global hotkey opens search from anywhere without switching windows.

The decision that made it trustworthy

Every move is journalled into undoable sessions, and the undo is real. Not a log, an undo.

A tool that silently rearranges the files on your machine is asking for an enormous amount of trust on the first run, and it has done nothing yet to earn it. Being able to put everything back exactly as it was is the thing that makes installing it a reasonable decision.
